The Elections are Crucial!

Missouri Eagle Forum Candidate Endorsements

Dear Missouri Patriots:

Missouri Eagle Forum is very pleased to endorse Congressman Todd Akin in his bid for the U.S. Senate. Congressman Akin is an outstanding patriot, and has been totally consistent in his conservative principles and stands since he bacame state representative for Missouri in 1988. Facing a Democrat controlled House, he fought to protect life and parental rights.

In 2000, he won the race for the US Congress in the 2nd District. One of his first stands was to oppose "No Child Left Behind," the only congressman in Missouri to vote against it. His principled stands have never wavered: Congressman Akin has consistently voted against wasteful spending and increased taxes, such as the TARP bailout as well as the one trillion "stimulus" bill championed by President Obama. He co-sponsored H.R.2, legislation to repeal the federal health insurance mandates enacted in 2010. This past June, he voted in the House to repeal Obama Care. Congressman Akin would like to see a safe and sensible energy independence plan for the U.S., and has been monitoring and studying the conservation and production of American energy in his position on the House Science and Technology Committee. Regarding national security, Congressman Akin is committed to keeping our nation safe. He has supported efforts to use technology to intercept terrorist communications, and at the same time protect the rights of U.S. citizens. He totally opposes illegal immigration, and believes in securing our borders.

A vote for Congressman Todd Akin August 7th is a vote to help save our Republic, and return us to the principles and values that have made us the greatest nation in the history of the world. There are few leaders who are as devoted to God, family, and country as Congressman Akin. Over the years, he has proven to be the principled leader that Missourians trust!

Gratefully,

Dear Missouri Patriots:

Missouri Eagle Forum is very pleased to endorse Ed Martin in his bid for Attorney General of Missouri. Ed is totally committed to the founding values and principles that have made our country so unique and so great. Pro life, marriage, parental rights, private property, the rule of law, the free market system, and limited government are values that Ed is determined to protect and promote.

After graduating from the St. Louis University School of Law where he specialized in health law, Ed passed the Missouri bar and delayed beginning a judicial clerkship to serve his church. There he served as director of the Human Rights Office for the Archdiocese of St. Louis, where he educated and advocated for pro-life issues, and promoted educational opportunities in the community. Ed then served as judicial clerk to Honorable Pasco M. Bowman II in Kansas City. Following his clerkship, he joined the St. Louis-based international law firm of Bryan, Cave, LLC.,where he specialized in commercial litigation. In 2004, Ed left Bryan, Cave, and started his own law firm, where he specialized in litigation and small business practice. In 2005, Ed led a team that “went after” Governor Rod Blagojevich, and in the same year, he was appointed Chairman of the St. Louis Board of Election Commissioners. In his role there, he went against ACORN, stream-lined his office, and implemented the Help America Vote Act. In 2006, Ed was appointed as chief of staff to Governor Matt Blunt.

Ed’s experience speaks for itself, and his commitment to God, family, and country are exemplary. Please help us take our country and state back by voting for Ed Martin for Attorney General of Missouri in the Missouri Republican Primary August 7th….. and in the General Election November 6th!

Dear Friends,

Missouri Eagle Forum endorses Rep. Cole McNary for Missouri State Treasurer. Rep. McNary has been Representative of the 86th District, primarily Chesterfield, since 2008. During this time he has served on the Joint Committee on Government Accountability, Administration and Accounts (Vice-Chairman), Ways and Means, Elementary and Secondary Education, and Downsizing State Government (Chairman).

Rep. McNary has offered a pension reform plan called The McNary Plan for Pension Strength and Transparency. The plan would reform the unfunded liabilities of public pension obligations in Missouri and offer a solution for pension strength and transparency. He supports greater fiscal truth and transparency and would like managers to disclose data underlying their financial assumptions. He has also criticized the Missouri State Employees Retirement System, which will cost the state 20 percent more next year.

Please join with Missouri Eagle Forum to support and elect Rep. Cole McNary as Missouri's next State Treasurer!

Dear Friends,

Missouri Eagle Forum proudly endorses Dave Spence for Governor of Missouri. Mr. Spence is committed to conservative values that will bring our state government back to reality! In contrast to Governor Nixon who refused to support 71% of Missourians opposed to ObamaCare, Mr. Spence is committed to fight against this intrusion on our freedoms. He is also opposed to Cap and Trade, outlandish farm regulations, punitive state agencies that over-regulate, cronyism in appointments, pay to play contributions, lavish lobbyist gifts, and the coffers of special interest groups. Mr. Spence is committed to protecting our constitutional rights to keep and bear arms, and he’s been a lifetime member of the NRA. He is a proven job creator, who has managed small, successful businesses for years. He is determined to remove all barriers to job creation, mainly the constant intrusion of government into the private sector.

Last but not least, Mr. Spence is committed to protecting human life at all stages. He has been endorsed by Missouri Right to Life for his strong pro-life beliefs, and he will fight to reduce the number of abortions in Missouri . He will also fight to protect the sanctity of traditional marriage. Finally, he believes that all discrimination is wrong. But at the same time, he does not believe that it’s the government’s place to engage in social engineering. David Spence has been married for 21 years to Suzie, and they’ve raised 4 wonderful children.

Please join with Missouri Eagle Forum to help elect Dave Spence, a man who honors his God, family, and country. Let’s do all we can to elect him Governor of Missouri on November 6th!

Gratefully,
Joan F. Langenberg

Dear Friends,

Missouri Eagle Forum proudly endorses Rep. Shane Schoeller for Secretary of State. As Speaker Pro Tem of the Missouri House of Representatives, Rep. Schoeller currently represents approximately 40,000 people in the 139th District. In the House, he has served on committees that have overseen budget appropriations, utilities, taxation, revenue, and also disaster recovery after the Joplin tornado of 2011.

Rep. Schoeller is passionate about eliminating all voter fraud – including inaccurate vote tallies, faulty voting equipment, and ballots with biased information. He is also dedicated to eliminating all barriers and obstacles to  businesses becoming successful, such as an over-abundance of red tape and paperwork. He is committed to the elimination of abusive regulatory powers of state agencies, and also fraudulent investments and securities that negatively effect Missouri families. Finally, Rep. Schoeller is determined to honor our troops by counting each and every one of their votes. He is determined that every military ballot will be counted. We need a Secretary of State who is committed to the conservative principles that have made our nation and our state great! Please join with Missouri Eagle Forum in your support of Rep Schoeller, and let’s see him elected Secretary of State of Missouri November 6th!
